Cooler weather, different challenges

IMG WA

As the days shorten and cool down there are still plenty of reasons to get out on the water.

The change in seasons also means a change in the wildlife and a change in the scenery. It can be a perfect time to get out and and take some pictures under Norfolks famous big skies.

Marsh Harriers are still quartering the reed beds, if you get lucky, Hen Harriers can make an appearance during winter. Huge skeins of Geese can be seen in the skies, and Cranes are now common on a few of our nature reserves. Starling murmurations are a common sight in some parts of the county.

Colder weather also means less people, and less motorised boats, which obviously makes things much quieter!
