We were very fortunate to win a half-day session with Norfolk Paddle Adventure. Overall, it was probably the most enjoyable and fulfilling activity I have ever done with my children. Darren communicated clearly and made sure we had the most appropriate location and weather to ensure it would be an enjoyable experience.

My daughters are 5 and 7 and while the 7 year old was able to paddle independently my younger daughter accompanied Darren in the kayak, both had a lovely experience. Darren had a lovely manner with both the girls and was pointing out different aspects of nature on the travels. The weather was fantastic and river we paddled on was clear and tranquil.

It was a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time together in the great outdoors. We will definitely look to paddleboard again with Darren and we look forward to the next adventure 🙂

My wife and I booked an afternoon paddleboard session with Darren taking our 2 children with us, aged 10 &12. Darren gave us a broad choice of where we could go but we left the location to him. He suggested a location on the Little Ouse at Brandon and we agreed a time. When we arrived shortly before the agreed time Darren was already there getting all the kit ready.

Buoyancy jackets and wet suits are provided. He also has cameras to capture those memories!. A safety brief was done and a conversation about individual abilities on the water. As a family we had tried paddleboarding a couple of times but by no means experts. Darren put us at ease and came across very relaxed and confident in what he was doing.

We got onto the water and it becomes obvious when talking to Darren that he has a great deal of knowledge of the local waterways and types of water to go on and gives guidance on technique as well.

We paddled for a couple of miles then headed back to the launch jetty. The afternoon was really enjoyable and would highly recommend it. Looking forward to booking with him again as the session was very reasonably priced for a family of 4 and an afternoon we’ll never forget.

Thanks to Darren for a great experience stand up paddle boarding. We had a wonderful time on the Great Ouse in North Norfolk. Darren knows his stuff and had plenty of handy kit without being at all over bearing. The water was also quite warm this time of the year in early September. Highly recommend!

We had a great time with NPA and Darren! Two adults, five kids, and he had perfect paddleboards, paddles, flotation devices for all of us.

Darren chose the site very carefully to make sure the conditions were perfect for beginners, got us into the water one by one, gave advice, then we all headed off along the river for a two-hour adventure. Gorgeous countryside and wildlife, and we were the only ones on the river.

Darren is great company and super-knowledgeable on all aspects of SUPs. We had a variety of boards from 9 foot to 13+foot to suit all sizes, and a variety of adjustable paddles to try out, all from top of the range SUP suppliers.

We covered 5.5 kms in two hours, everyone getting the hang of it pretty quickly, and only one of our group falling in (they got back on their board in seconds). Darren would have been happy for us to carry on after lunch, but some of us were a bit worn out! Water-pump and towels were provided to wash feet before putting shoes back on! Overall, a great experience with a great guy and top quality equipment.

Darren also took photos and video for us on the trip and supplies waterproof bags for your own phones for those who want to risk it!

Excellent communication before and after the trip, via email and facebook. All questions answered quickly!

Darren really wants people to love paddleboarding, and will do all he can to make sure your adventure is right for you (including postponing the trip if he thinks weather conditions would ruin it). Top guy, highly recommended!

I started looking into paddleboarding and realised what a minefield it was .. which board, which gear etc which is when I found Darren through a local Facebook group. I have been out on about 4 paddle sessions with Darren so far and each time my confidence grows and I learn more tips and techniques which make it a lot easier to maneuver and grow my skills, as well as learning some important safety advice.

On top of that Darren has provided all the gear and advised on what boards to buy and also various options of gear to get if I want to purchase my own. He is a great instructor and very patient and I have had a lot of fun. I highly recommend booking in a session (or sessions) with him if you are just starting out or also if you want to advance your skills and improve your technique. Thank you Darren and look forward to the next session.
